The Vera C. Rubin Observatory has released its first images, taken with the world’s largest digital camera. In just 10 hours, it captured millions of galaxies and stars, offering a glimpse of its 10 year mission. The images reveal about 10 million galaxies, detailed views of the Trifid and Lagoon nebulas, and the Virgo cluster.
